    Does Bernie have a special suitcase to carry Archie in? If he's carved out of walnut or lime he must weight a ton.

    Yes, Archie's great weight was one of the reasons that Bernie Bloater never travelled abroad or toured the northern cabaret circuit. He tried screwing a set of suitcase wheels to the soles of Archie's shoes and pushing him around like a piece of luggage but it wasn't a great success.
